Forget the 1 star rating...I rate this computer 5 sad faces.The mouse pad is atrocious. I thought it would just take some getting used to, but after 3 months, it still is impossible to control. When you type, it is virtually impossible to keep from brushing it lightly with your thumbs once in a while, which results in clicking out of the page you are on and also clicking on pesky, unwanted advertisements that can easily get you a nasty spyware virus. When you drag the pointer across a page, it clicks when you don't want it to. Again, this is something that does not improve with practice. There are detailed settings for the mouse pad, which I have spent hours playing around with, but it doesn't matter. None of the settings make the mouse pad better.
